Is treatment with the Six Month Smiles for you? 5 facts about this aligner by Harbour Dental

When you want to change your appearance, it is likely the first thing you will do is go online and search for the fastest, most effective and cheapest way to do so.

However, the issue with the internet is that, as a tabloid newspaper, it can be full of horror stories about one type of treatment. Far from comforting!

Understandably, you will want to know the truth about the procedure, such as the risks, etc, but you will also want to know the roots of the procedure too, such as who it is intended for. If you are looking for a way to enhance your smile with cosmetic dentistry, this is crucial to selecting the correct treatment for you.

Luckily, if you want to correct a minor misalignment in your smile, there are many aligners and braces available to you, which can give you that straighter grin you want in record time. But which one is for you?

At Harbour Dental, our team is experienced in selecting the right aligner for the right patient and can help you to choose the correct brace to straighten your teeth, close gaps or remedy issues such as overcrowding. One of our more popular braces, the Six Month Smiles in Northern Ireland is the perfect way to spruce up your smile quickly, giving you a gorgeous smile that will last a lifetime.

Are the Six Month Smiles in Northern Ireland the best option for you? Read on to learn 5 facts about this cosmetic aligner.

It is fitted

This aligner is not one that can be removed; the Six Month Smiles in Northern Ireland is a fitted brace, meaning it is attached to your teeth with brackets. So, this is a consideration if you are self-conscious about your smile; although it is discrete, it is not invisible.

It is clear

While this brace is fitted, the brackets used to attach the wire to your teeth are either clear or enamel coloured, to minimise the overall appearance. So, unlike traditional braces, this aligner is unlikely to draw attention to your teeth.

It is comfortable

Although the treatment is accelerated in comparison to other braces, this aligner is surprisingly comfortable. While it does have a wire and brackets, it does not require tightening and uses gentle force to move your teeth into their new position, without applying pressure to the jaw.

It is suitable for cosmetic movement

If you want all of your teeth to be completely straight, unfortunately, this is not the brace for you.

As this brace is suited for straightening the front teeth and cannot impact on molar realignment, it is not suited for correcting more complex orthodontic issues.

It is fast!

As it says on the tin, this brace is designed to give you that straight smile in 6 months or less. However, this is dependent on the severity of the misalignment you want to have treated and so, you may be required to wear this brace for a slightly longer period.
