NHS Treatment

NHS treatments provide patients with adequate care to treat dental disease.  Not all treatments are available on the NHS.  For example, white fillings on posterior (back) teeth, cosmetic treatments (e.g. tooth whitening/smile makeovers), mouth guards, high quality all ceramic crowns and bridges, high quality dentures (e.g. flexible/cosmetic dentures) are excluded.

All patients are entitled to NHS treatments which normally receive 20% funding from the Health Service; however, we are no longer able to accept new fee paying NHS Patients at Harbour Dental at this time.

However, if you meet any of the criteria below, your treatments are free from any patient contribution and you can register with Harbour Dental:

Under 18 years of age
Those aged 18 and in full education
Pregnant or had a baby in the 12 months before treatment starts
Named on a HC2 certificate

If you or your partner are receiving the following benefits

Income support
Job seeker’s allowance
Working families tax credit
Disabled persons tax credit
Pension credit guarantee credit

If any of the above applies to you please feel free to register, either here on our website, or by calling at Reception, to arrange a registration check-up.

Private Treatment and Fees

These treatments are generally of higher quality than NHS treatments, as we can use more expensive materials, most up-to-date treatment systems and spend more time on each patient, giving you the best possible solutions.

Denplan Dental Cover

Private treatment can be accessed through Denplan, a really easy way to spread the cost of your treatment into affordable monthly payments, reducing the chance of receiving unexpected dental bills.

Spreading the cost of treatment

In addition to registering with us as an NHS or Denplan Patient, we also offer the option to spread the cost of your private or cosmetic treatment over a longer period.

Finance 4 Patients provides a simple and affordable way to spread the cost of your dental treatment either with a 0% Interest Loan or an Interest Bearing Loan at 9.9% APR.

Benefits to You

You can have the treatment right away – putting off dentistry may result in it becoming    more extensive, invasive and expensive.
You can spread the cost of the treatment over a suitable period.
Interest-free and low cost monthly options can be a much more affordable alternative to credit cards or bank loans.
It’s easy to set up repayments by Direct Debit.
All Finance options are provided by leading credit suppliers and are subject to status.
Our Treatment Co-ordinators can help you with the application – it’s simple.

Repayments start one month after the agreement has been accepted. The application is completed online in privacy, a decision given within seconds and the agreement signed online using e-signature, all in just a few minutes.

What does it cover?

You can apply for Dental Treatment Finance for costs from £250 to £25,000.

If you want to spread the cost over 12 months, 0% finance is available.  For longer repayment periods (36 or 48 months) low interest loans are also available at 9.9%.

How does it work?

Once you have discussed your treatment with your dentist and agreed the cost, your dentist will send an application to your email address which will allow you to apply online, in the comfort and privacy of your own home, or you can apply at the practice.

Simply complete your details online, submit for approval through the secure portal and 10 – 15 seconds later, you will receive a decision.  When the loan is approved, sign the credit agreement online using e-signature, and confirm your ID using your Credit or Debit card.

The whole process is totally web based with no long, complicated forms to fill out, making getting the treatment you want easier, faster and more affordable.
